The Golf Course

As a golfer, Troon Circle is your dream destination, even down to being named after the venerable Royal Troon Golf Club of Scotland, one of the world's most famous golf courses.

We are situated on the prestigious Highlands Reserve Golf and Country Club, an 18 hole golf course designed by Mike Dasher and opened in 1998, Highlands Reserve is now Orlando's most requested golf course for customers of specialist golf travel agencies.

It was nominated as one of America's Top 50 Courses and has been awarded 3.5 Stars by Golf Digest's "Places to Play" guide. It has a decidedly Scottish feel and is unusual for Florida courses in that it has great natural sand traps (being built on a natural sand deposit) and excellent views as the course with the highest elevation in the area.

In addition, we are in an excellent position with over one dozen other golf courses in a 10 mile radius of the villa. In other words, a perfect destination for anyone with golf on their minds as the perfect vacation.

Not to mention that we are based in Florida, one of the only spots in the world where you can golf all year round.

Our extended family of 8 stayed at Troon Cirlcle for the 2008 Christmas Holidays. The house was decorated with lovely tree and other Christmas ornaments. The layout of the house was great for us. The kitchen and the family room was big and had games and videos for us to use. The pool area was very clean and private with a nice hedge. We were very close to grocery stores and Route 192 that led us right to Disney. I guess the best way to say what an amazing place this was is to say we felt at home. We are seasoned Orlando area vacationers, visiting 1-2 times per year for the past 18 years. We consider ourselves knowledgeable about the Central Florida area as we are active readers of the Disney internet discussion boards and related websites.
We had always stayed in theme park resorts. Now, as empty nesters, retired, and having a small dog who owns us, we wanted to extend our usual week to multiple weeks to experience the home away from home comfort by staying at an Orlando area vacation villa. We had read many horror stories of renting villas where the accommodations were sub-standard. We actually rented one last year and were very disappointed in the surrounding community and location. At that time we spent one day driving around and researching developments and locations that we would consider for future visits. We determined that the best area to be is on Route 27 near 192. It is minutes from the theme parks and other tourist attractions. We were impressed in particular with the Highlands Reserve community which became #1 on our list. The Orlando area is growing by leaps & bounds with new communities sprouting up and road construction everywhere. This Route 27/192 area is road construction free. It provides a quiet respite from the theme park mania, yet is convenient to everything, including an A-list grocery one block away, a nearby Wal-Mart supercenter, and soon to be opened Target Super Store within 4 miles. Highlands Reserve is a lovely golf course community, an upscale neighborhood with beautiful, well-manicured landscaping, and well-maintained homes.

We were looking for a villa big enough where on future trips, our children & grandchildren could join us on occasion. This villa on Troon Circle is spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming. After spending years in the home decorating business, this villa has an attention to detail sadly lacking in many rental villas; for example, plush, comfortable beds, a wonderful great room/family room and a separate living room offering a quiet comfortable space to read a book. The beautiful pool and spa is welcoming and has a privacy hedge and privacy fence, which separates you from the rest of the world. This property is truly an executive villa.

We made many inquiries on quite a few properties before we found this villa. Many inquiries either were never answered or left us hanging for days. Stoneman Vacation Villas gave us immediate responses and answered all our questions in a timely manner. They are very professional, and asked us repeatedly if there was anything they could help us with ie; reservations, tickets, directions, etc. For example, after one week of our three week stay, we decided we would like to vacuum. Stoneman villas offered to send a maid over immediately to vacuum, but we insisted that we would be happy to do it. So, within 30 minutes, a brand new vacuum was delivered.

We had an opportunity to meet the owners of Stoneman Vacation villas, and found them to be delightful, courteous, and focused on customer service.

Not only would we highly recommend Stoneman Vacation Villas without hesitation, but we are already booked for a month in ’09 and look forward to many more visits in the future. Indeed, we have found our home away from home. R&BW March 02 2008
