Hello everyone!

What a busy summer we’ve had! Thank you to all our guests and I hope you enjoyed your stay. We’ve expanded fast this summer and have taken on a number of properties to manage as well as our own villas, giving you even more properties to choose from for your next trip to Orlando!

Fall is a great time to visit Florida as the weather is cooler, the lines in the parks are short and there are plenty of deals to be had. The theme parks pull out all the stops for Halloween too, with unique events which don’t happen at any other time of year.

This is our first customer newsletter, we get quite a few e-mails and calls asking us about what events are coming up in the area so we decided the best way to tell people would be through a regular newsletter. We hope you enjoy it and if you'd like to see anything mentioned in the newsletter please e-mail us and let us know.

We also have a brand new website at http://www.stonemanvacationvillas.com/ which has 360° video tours and photo galleries of all our villas, information about the Orlando area and our new property management service for local homeowners. We’ll also be regularly updating it with last minute offers so make sure to bookmark it and visit regularly.

Kind regards,

The Most Boo For Your Buck

How Universal Orlando Spends All Year Planning Their Halloween Horror Spectacular

Sixteen years ago, Universal hosted a “Fright Nights” show over three nights. It was a single haunted maze to bring in locals during the slow season. Today, Halloween Horror Nights is a major event on the Universal Studios calendar and one of the world’s most elaborate Halloween parties.

With 8 haunted houses and large sections of the park decked out as “ScareZones” the project involves hundreds of artists, a full time writer and hundreds of thousands of dollars in costumes, sets and makeup.

This year the Halloween Horror event has been split across two parks, as it attracted up to 50,000 people a night last year and the one park couldn’t handle all the traffic. As one of the world’s largest movie studios and creator of a huge number of horror classics, Universal can bring out classic horror movie characters such as Freddy and Jason, Leatherface, The Cryptkeeper and more.

If you love horror movies, send us an e-mail for details on our Halloween Horror Nights package including luxury accommodation for 1-10 people, discounts on entry to Halloween Horror Nights events and even a backstage tour!

Halloween Events

Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights

September 28 & 29 and October 4-7, 11-14, 18-21, 24-28 & 31 and November 1-3. Hours are 6:30pm to 2am on Fri/Sat or 6:30pm to midnight all others.

Universal Orlando has a special team working on this event year round and it really is one of the world’s greatest Halloween parties. Featuring haunted houses, hideous creatures, inescapable scare zones and visits from Jason, Freddy and Leatherface – this Halloween party is a special effects spectacular for older children and adults. We recommend against taking younger children to this event as it is genuinely scary!

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

A special event at Magic Kingdom featuring "Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade," Mickey's Mouse-Ka-Rade costume parties, Halloween storytelling, live shows and a special Halloween-themed fireworks display above Cinderella Castle. Ideal for younger children.

Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream 2007

Friday & Saturday - October 5-6, 12-13, 19-20 & 26-27

16 terror-filled nights with haunted houses, scare zones and adrenaline-loaded coasters in the dark. The grounds of the African-themed park are converted into an arena where voodoo spirits and horror reign supreme. Themed merchandise and food will be available throughout the park.

Guavaween 2007

Ybor City - Saturday October 27

A locally themed festival and an antidote to the flashy commercial offerings at the big theme parks, this Latin-themed celebration is held in Ybor City. Legend has it that a Tampa pioneer named Gavino Gutierrez tried to cultivate guava commercially in the area but failed. More successful was the idea put forward by a local newspaper columnist that if New York was the Big Apple, Tampa was the Big Guava. So for 17 years Mama Guava has led her followers in the Mama Guava Stumble Parade down the town's main street. Over 100,000 people attend this huge street party, parade, costume party and concert from 10am to the small hours of the morning.
